IN HER EYES - A Photographic Exhibition by Claire Ropartz

Melbourne-based French photographer Claire Ropartz is delighted to be exhibiting her new work at the Sofitel Melbourne On Collins through “In Her Eyes”, a photographic exhibition that captures the spirit and grandeur of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This exhibition shines a light on the social aspect of the event, by showcasing a collection of compelling and evocative images shifting the spotlight from the athletes to the enthusiastic spectators who infuse the games with passion and energy. With images of them on their way to a game or congregating at iconic Parisian locations like Place de la Concorde or in front of the Grand Palais, we reveal that the street is where the magic happens.

This will also highlight how the Paris Olympics 2024 have set a significant goal: 50:50 gender ratio, with women athletes serving as powerful inspirations for young women and their accomplishments on the field or in the arena instilling confidence, empowerment, guidance and self-belief in young women.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

French photographer, Claire Ropartz grew up in Paris and moved to Melbourne in 2008. She developed a love and passion for photography through her travels from a young age and the inspiration provided by her own city of Paris.

Claire uses the opportunity to combine photography and travel with the intention of sharing her images with people from different cultures and environments. This is seen through the photojournalistic flair which is demonstrated in her work which has been shown in various exhibitions in Paris, London, and Melbourne.

The artist industry knowledge with her Parisian roots, her insights in how she sees the world and eye for detail is reflected in all her artwork. Being worldly and always on an adventure gives Claire the ability to bring the worlds of her hometown cities together.
